FAQ category: Web Hosting
Why can't I see the files I have uploaded?
On our RaQ servers, when you ftp to them, the initial directory will be /users/username/web .
The directory which serves the site content for your site is /web/ and NOT /users/username/web.
To remedy this you need to cd ../../web, or access the /web directory. The exact method that you use to do this will vary depending on which FTP package you use.
Other things to remember is that the default page for your website is called "index.html" so this page will be served before "index.htm" - if your home page is "index.htm" then just delete the holding page called "index.html" and your "index.htm" file will then be the default page.
If you have checked this and still cannot see the files, open your site in a web browser (such as Internet Explorer) and refresh the page (press Ctrl+F5 in Internet Explorer). It may be that your computer is loading older pages from the local cache.
